6061-T6 Aerospace Forged
Every AL13 wheel begins as a one-piece 6061-T6 aerospace-grade forging. Extreme pressure and temperature transform the billet into a high-integrity, multi-directional grain structure, then spin-forging aligns the grain radially for premium strength at minimal weight.
02 —
FEA-Tested Fitment
Each design is engineered in-house at AL13's Southern California facility and validated with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) testing, ensuring the optimal balance of lightweight construction, durability, and strength for every vehicle application.
03 —
Custom Finishing
AL13's finishing department offers hand-brushing, touch-less ceramic polishing to a mirror-like shine, and premium powder coat colors in gloss, satin, or textured finishes — all held to the industry's most exacting standards.

FROM RAW BILLET TO FINISHED WHEEL
Precision designed, precisely engineered, and expertly crafted — every AL13 wheel moves through seven controlled stages before it ever leaves the facility.
STAGE 01 / 07
Engineering | FEA Testing
Every AL13 wheel undergoes meticulous design and engineering at the brand's Southern California facility. The team relies on Finite Element Analysis (FEA) testing to ensure the most optimal combination of lightweight construction, durability, and strength before a single wheel is forged.
STAGE 02 / 07
Raw Forgings | 6061-T6 Aerospace Forged
AL13 wheels start as one-piece forgings that eliminate porosity entirely. Under extreme pressure and temperature, the aluminum's grain structure transforms into a high-integrity, multi-directional pattern, while spin-forging produces premium strength through optimal radial grain direction.
STAGE 03 / 07
Lathe Turning | Concavity
Raw forgings are lathe-turned from the front and rear, creating a profile that maximizes concavity. Over 70% of the original material is removed in this step, achieving the greatest possible weight reduction while shaping the wheel's foundation.
STAGE 04 / 07
Milling | Where Design Comes to Life
This is where each wheel's design truly comes to life. Mill cycles run through a series of pre-selected tool sets and milling paths that can take up to 8 hours per wheel to achieve absolute precision, followed by hand filing, deburring, buffing, and ceramic polishing.
STAGE 05 / 07
Prep | Deburring | Ceramic Polish | Brush
Widely regarded as the most attentive and time-consuming part of production, this stage offers brushed wheels that reveal the beautiful detail of the forged aluminum grain, or touch-less ceramic polishing that creates a mirror-like finish.
STAGE 06 / 07
Color
Premium finishes are sourced from international vendors, offering a brushed or polished base paired with transparent powder coats. Components are available in gloss, satin, or textured finish, giving every build a distinctive final look.
STAGE 07 / 07
Assembly
The final and most critical quality stage involves run-out checks performed with Digital Snap-On® Torque Wrenches, calibrated yearly for accuracy. AL13's standard requires run-out below 0.010″ — well under the industry-typical 0.030″.
